2004 Ladys Pass Shiraz2004 Schoolhouse Red Shiraz-Viognier2004 MerlotIndia Red Cabernet Sauvignon2004 Ridge Shiraz

Very bright and deep red in colour, the nose is rich, intense, exotic and opulent with lovely ripe red and dark fruit characters and a hint of sweet smoky oak.

The mid palate is full with intense dark fruit flavours, in particular cherry and plum and the supple tannins are beautifully balanced with the acidity.

The palate has great texture and richness which evolves from the dark to red fruit and spices and finishes with tremendous length.

Try it with red fruits deserts such as strawberry crème, steak with onion sauce and duck with cherry sauce. Well cellar well for at least 5 -10 years and will further reward if decanted after opening.

“…an eye opener….succulent, interesting and forceful….despite its inky colour it shows some distinct leafy aromas, and a twist of reductive, gamey character from wild ferment…. it’s concentrated, sweet [fruit sweet, not sugar –sweet] and seductive. With a long, long finish….it’s pretty fabulous stuff”.
Tony Harper, Brisbane News

“Wild yeast/reductive characters early which blow off quickly to reveal red fruits tinged with aniseed, leaf and a slight mintiness, which adds to the wine rather than detracts…deeply coloured…rich, textured red fruits ,medium bodied but full flavoured and laced with mineral length…92 points , drink 2006-2012+ ”
Grant Dodd, The Winning Pro

“ It’s a nice wine….mulberry, plum, some spice and some softness, all of which would be very easy to chug into”. – 86 points
Campbell Mattison, Winefront Monthly

“ The ripe blackcurrant-like fruit is mouthfilling, the tannins are fine and the oak well balanced”. Highly Recommended
