With a lovely pale colour and a rich texture this white is perfectly suited to food. Made like a more classic ‘soave’ from the Veneto region of Italy this wine has sweet apple and pinapple aromas with sweet fruit flavours on the palate reminicent of tropical fruits with a slightly tart edge. Produced entirely in stainless steel to retain freshness this wine is perfectly balanced.
This is the third vintage produced with fruit coming from the Chalmers Vineyards further north of Heathcote. The 2021 vintage was awarded Best White Wine, Best Other Wine & Best Heathcote Grown & Produced wine at the 2021 Interpack Heathcote Wine Show.
This wine has aromas of pinapple and pear drop. It has a rounded mouthfeel, with a rich palate of zesty pineapple ad good palate weight. It’s lively with the fruit and citrus driving the finish.
The Veneto pays tribute to the history of the Munari family who originate from Gallio in the Veneto region of Northern Italy. It is located close to Soave the home of Garganega as well as being one of winemaker, Adrian Munari’s favourite grapes. The red campbrian soil of Heathcote combined with the Mediterranean climate produce wines displaying complex, concentrated flavours which as distinctively Heathcote Terroir.
